Samoa is through to semi finals of the Rugby League World Cup for the first time, but the team is facing the prospect of losing both Joseph Suaalii<\/a> and Junior Paulo<\/a> to suspension.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe pair ware placed on report in Samoa's 20-18 win over arch-rivals Tonga, a victory that sets up a semi final clash with England in London on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

But they may have to face the home side without either Suaalii or Paulo.<\/p>\n

Both players were placed on report while in possession of the ball, Suaalii for running with a raised knee as Tonga's Felise Faufusi attempted to tackle him, while Paulo elbowed David Fifita in the throat.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the match, Samoan coach Matt Parish was hopeful Suaalii would escape a ban, and full of praise for the teenager's performance.<\/p>\n

"I would be surprised if anything came of that," Parish said.<\/p>\n

"He was unbelievable, wasn't he, for a 19-year-old kid. He has been unbelievable for our group for a young man. He has been well-schooled and well-educated. Certainly, I think he is enjoying the ride at the moment.<\/p>\n

\"Joseph<\/p>\n

"He is pretty good in any position you put him in. He has a long career ahead of him, which is going to be exciting to watch. He has been part of this and I am pleased for him too, because he could have chosen to play for Australia. He committed to Samoa like a lot of these young men. which is pleasing."<\/p>\n

Tries to Jaydn Su'a and Jarome Luai inside the first 16 minutes gave Samoa a 12-4 lead, although Tonga hit back via Siosiua Taukeiaho just before half time.<\/p>\n

When Brian To'o crossed in the 58th minute, Samoa had a 20-12 lead, but a Sione Katoa try in the 70th minute narrowed the margin to just two points and set up a grandstand finish, with Samoa holding off a desperate Tonga to secure the win.<\/p>\n
