India might've won the series 2-1 after an epic final day run chase at the Gabba<\/a>, yet their celebrations didn't stop them from paying their respects to Aussie spinner Nathan Lyon.<\/p>\n

Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane handed Lyon a jersey signed by the entire India team in honour of the veteran's 100th match.<\/p>\n

The stand-in captain showed great respect for Lyon in what was a historic game for Australia's greatest ever off-spinner.<\/p>\n

Lyon became just the 13th Australian to reach 100 Test appearances, however the outing wasn't a successful one for the spinner.<\/p>\n

Lyon failed to nab his 400th wicket in what was a less than fruitful series in which he took nine wickets at an average off 55.11.<\/p>\n

Indian great VVS Laxman applauded the decision.<\/p>\n
