The report indicated that the street races were in doubt given the lead time required to build infrastructure for those events.<\/p>\n

A 23-race season has been announced, with Monaco, Azerbaijan and Canada the fifth, sixth and seventh events respectively in late-May and early-June.<\/p>\n
In a statement on Tuesday morning (AEDT), the Automobile Club de Monaco, which organises the F1 grand prix as well as the Formula E and Historic races, insisted the events would proceed as scheduled.<\/p>\n
"Despite the latest rumours circulating on certain websites and social media, the @ACM_Media can confirm the #MonacoGP will take place from May 20th to 23rd, 2021," it said on Twitter.<\/p>\n
"The ACM also confirms the #GrandPrixMonacoHistorique (April 23rd-25th 2021) and the #MonacoEPrix (May 8th 2021)."<\/p>\n
An F1 spokesperson dismissed the reports that the three street races were in danger of being cancelled.<\/p>\n
"We have set out the details of the revised 2021 calendar, and there are no other changes. The suggestion street races will not take place are completely wrong," the F1 spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
It's understood construction of the Monaco street circuit would need to begin in late February, with the principality currently enforcing a curfew from 7pm to 6am.<\/p>\n
All bars are closed, while restaurants are only open for lunch and masks must be worn in public.<\/p>\n
