Parramatta<\/a> faces a massive battle soon after Sunday's grand final to hang on to star halfback Mitchell Moses<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sources have told Wide World of Sports that Moses' management has already sounded out the Storm and Roosters for 2024, with several other clubs also likely to to be invited to join the hunt for the classy No.7.<\/p>\n

Moses is contracted to the Eels until the end of next season and and has an option in his favour for 2024 that he is yet to take up.<\/p>\n

Parramatta needs to lock the star halfback up before November 1, otherwise he will be free to negotiate with rival clubs for the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

Moses has put negotiations on hold throughout the finals and his asking price has only increased following some match-winning performances in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Star halfbacks are in short supply and on current form, plus the salary cap due to rise, Moses has moved into the rare $1 million-a-season player bracket.<\/p>\n

In a game where one small tip can mean the difference between winning and losing, Arthur is certain to have a chat to Barrett and see what they can come up with.<\/p>\n

DOGS SNAP UP RISING ROOSTER\ufeff<\/h3>\n

The Bulldogs have continued their impressive build-up for 2023 by signing promising Sydney Roosters backrower Jack Stringer for next season.<\/p>\n

A 20-year-old forward, Stringer was a standout for the Roosters in the Jersey Flegg Cup this season.<\/p>\n

The kid has the right bloodlines too – his dad Paul was a handy prop who played nearly 150 top grade games for North Sydney, the Northern Eagles, South Sydney and Parramatta from 1997 to 2006.<\/p>\n

"Jack is a great kid and we are very excited about him," Bulldogs supremo Phil Gould told Wide World of Sports.<\/p>\n

"We really like his energy and toughness and his pathway at the Roosters was probably more limited than what we can offer him."<\/p>\n

PANTHERS TO LOSE GRAND FINAL STAR\ufeff<\/h3>\n

The Panthers realise they can't hang onto their entire powerhouse squad for 2023 and one man they may reluctantly cut loose is in-form forward Spencer Leniu.<\/p>\n

The Dragons, who have lost several experienced forwards including Josh McGuire and Tariq Sims for next season, are leading the hunt for Leniu.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old Kiwi has been a big improver throughout 2022 and has the ability to make the hard yards and bend the defensive line back.<\/p>\n

Several other club have expressed interest in Leniu but at this early stage, the Dragons appear the best fit for the Samoan international.<\/p>\n
