Collingwood<\/a> players Beau McCreery and Josh Carmichael have been involved in a car crash while on their way to Melbourne airport.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred on the Monash Freeway as the pair were heading to the airport to fly to Sydney for Saturday's preliminary final against the Swans<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"The welfare of Beau, Josh and the driver of the other vehicle remains the absolute priority," said club general manager Graham Wright.<\/p>\n

"Neither Beau nor Josh sustained any injuries, and we will provide them with the support required in this situation."<\/p>\n

Collingwood has confirmed both players will travel to Sydney for the match at the SCG.<\/p>\n

It's understood the pair live together in Chadstone, south east of Melbourne.\ufeff<\/p>\n

McCreery has been named in the 22-man squad for the match against the Swans, while Carmichael is in the extended 26-man squad. He was the medi-sub for \ufeffthe side's semi final win over Fremantle.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old McCreery has had a breakout season in 2022, playing the majority of the Magpies' matches and establishing himself in the forward line.<\/p>\n

The Magpies will start as outsiders for the match against the Swans, as the club looks to secure its first premiership since 2010.\ufeff<\/p>\n
