Shane Warne has apologised for swearing on TV after Kayo Sports mistakenly broadcast his crude banter with Andrew Symonds before a BBL game last week.<\/a><\/p>\n

Warne said Symonds had also apologised directly to Marnus Labuschagne – but the spin king stands by his criticism of the eccentric Australian Test star.<\/p>\n

"I've communicated with Marnus about what unfortunately went to air last week and I'd like to apologise for swearing on TV," Warne wrote in a column for News Corp.<\/p>\n

"Marnus had no issue. He thought it was funny and had a laugh about it and so did his teammates. Andrew has also apologised to Marnus for what he said, too."<\/p>\n

But Warne did not say he apologised to Labuschagne for his comments.<\/p>\n

In the BBL hot mic gaffe, Warne said: "Jeez it's annoying. 'No!!!' Just f—ing bat properly," referring to Labuschagne's quirky methods at the crease.<\/p>\n

The Fox Sports commentator doubled down on those views ahead of today's fourth cricket Test against India.<\/a><\/p>\n

"He is an outstanding player," Warne wrote.<\/p>\n

"But Marnus bats best when he forgets all the exaggeration stuff, like calling, 'No', 'Yes' and 'Wait on' really loudly and waving his bat around.<\/p>\n

"I like it when he just bats \u2013 and that's why I said to Andrew Symonds that he should just bat properly."<\/p>\n

Warne also wrote that the Steve Smith pitch scratching controversy<\/a> was a big beat up.<\/p>\n

"As for Steve Smith, what an overreaction to him shadow batting on the crease in Sydney.<\/p>\n

"That was just Smith doing Smith things.<\/p>\n
