{"id":215705,"date":"2022-05-10T11:08:05","date_gmt":"2022-05-10T11:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=215705"},"modified":"2022-05-10T14:57:11","modified_gmt":"2022-05-10T14:57:11","slug":"atlanta-hawks-and-milwaukee-bucks-set-to-battle-in-uaes-first-nba-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=215705","title":{"rendered":"Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks set to battle in UAE\u2019s first NBA games"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Department of Culture and Tourism \u2013 Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) on Tuesday announced that the Atlanta Hawks and the 2021 NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks will play in October\u2019s landmark opening matches in the Arabian Gulf.<br \/>\nA pair of historic preseason games are set to be held at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, October 6 and Saturday, October 8, 2022.\u00a0Franchises loaded with star names have been selected for the region\u2019s first clashes.<br \/>\nThe Hawks currently feature two-time NBA All-Star Trae Young, 2020-21 NBA rebounding leader Clint Capela and 2018 NBA All-Rookie Second Team members John Collins and Bogdan Bogdanovic.\u00a0 The Bucks currently feature two-time Kia NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, three-time NBA All-Star Khris Middleton and three-time NBA All-Defensive Team member Jrue Holiday.<br \/>\nAdded prestige is provided by the fact the two teams met in the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals, with the Bucks going on to win their first NBA championship in 50 years.<br \/>\n\u201cWe have two great teams,\u201d said NBA Europe and Middle East Managing Director Ralph Rivera during the unveiling at the\u00a0Arabian Travel Market\u00a0in Dubai\u2019s World Trade Centre.<br \/>\n\u201cThe reigning NBA champions with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Atlanta Hawks, who played the Bucks in the Eastern Conference Final.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe added: \u201cIt\u2019s the full NBA experience.<br \/>\n\u201cYes, there\u2019s great play by the best players in the world. The athleticism doesn\u2019t get any better.<br \/>\n\u201cBut the NBA is also about the entertainment in the arena.
