{"id":214638,"date":"2022-05-04T16:10:54","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T16:10:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=214638"},"modified":"2022-05-05T11:57:32","modified_gmt":"2022-05-05T11:57:32","slug":"jr-nba-europe-and-middle-east-elite-camp-begins-in-italy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=214638","title":{"rendered":"Jr. NBA Europe and Middle East Elite Camp begins in Italy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced that a four-day Jr. NBA Europe and Middle East Elite Camp will be held at Stella Azzurra in Rome, Italy from Wednesday, May 4 \u2013 Saturday, May 7.<br \/>\nThe\u00a0Jr. NBA EME Elite Camp will feature\u00a060\u00a0boys and girls\u00a0ages 13-14\u00a0from\u00a025\u00a0countries across Europe and the Middle East where\u00a0Jr.\u00a0NBA\u00a0programs currently operate, and\u00a0will focus\u00a0on\u00a0positional\u00a0skill development, shooting, and skills competitions, culminating with\u00a0three-on-three and five-on-five competition.<br \/>\nThe camp will be conducted by NBA Basketball Operations staff and coaches from Jr. NBA leagues in Europe and the Middle East.\u00a0 Former NBA and WNBA players and NBA Europe Ambassadors Anastasia\u00a0Kostaki (Greece), Zaza Pachulia (Georgia), Vladimir Radmanovi\u0107 (Montenegro) and Ronny Turiaf (France) and former NBA head coach Ryan Saunders will also attend and coach the youth players.\u00a0 Saunders will also lead an NBA Coaching Clinic for the Jr. NBA coaches and invited local coaches.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are excited to host 60 of the top young boys and girls from across Europe and the Middle East at Stella Azzurra\u2019s facilities in Rome,\u201d said NBA Associate Vice President of Basketball Operations, Europe and Middle East Neal Meyer.\u00a0 \u201cThe Jr. NBA EME Elite Camp provides a unique and exciting opportunity for these developing players to compete alongside their peers from other countries and learn from established coaches as they advance in their young careers.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI look forward to seeing the talent on display at this camp from young hopefuls across our region,\u201d said Pachulia.\u00a0 \u201cThis kind of intensive basketball experience will be invaluable as they embark on the next stage of their basketball development.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cIt\u2019s a pleasure to help guide and evaluate these young players and support up-and-coming coaches as they strive towards the goal of becoming better players,\u201d said Saunders.\u00a0 \u201cI know they will take away lessons from this camp that will help them continue to grow as players, coaches and people in the years to come.\u201d<br \/>\nThe\u00a0Jr. NBA EME Elite Camp will be supported by official NBA partners Nilox and San Carlo.\u00a0 Nilox will sponsor the Shooting Challenge and the NBA Coaching Clinic, while San Carlo will sponsor a Special Olympics Unified Clinic and the camp\u2019s Sportsmanship Awards.<br \/>\n        View this post on Instagram            A post shared by Jr. NBA UAE ??
