It's a shock development at the club given the string of impressive off-season signings Hill and Barrett were able to lure to Sydney's west.<\/p>\n

Bulldogs chairman John Khoury said Hill had contributed enormously to the club.<\/p>\n
"Andrew Hill has made a significant contribution to the Bulldogs over the past three years," Khoury said.<\/p>\n
"He has strengthened all areas of the club and will leave us in a strong position for a new CEO to take over.<\/p>\n
"We are appreciative of his professionalism in signaling this early enough for us to find a replacement in time for the start of the season."<\/p>\n
Hill said he was keenly awaiting a new chapter.<\/p>\n
"I have enjoyed my time at the Bulldogs and after three years of service in the role the time is now right to look at my next challenge," Hill said.<\/p>\n
"I wish the club and team every success for the future."<\/p>\n
Hill was appointed in 2017 after a long stint at the NRL.<\/p>\n
He endured a trying time atop the franchise, marred by a final year of reports of vicious infighting between powerbrokers at the club.<\/p>\n
Chief financial officer John White is filling the role of interim chief executive while the board searches for a permanent replacement of Hill.<\/p>\n
