Australian Rookie of the Year candidate Josh Giddey<\/a> has received one of the highest seals of approval you can hope for in the game, having his skill praised by LeBron James.<\/p>\n

Speaking to press during the NBA's all-star weekend, James was asked about the teenage guard, who has turned heads so far during the season for the Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n

"He's really, really, really good," the four-time NBA champ said.<\/p>\n

"He has a great pace about the game, great vision. I always love pass-first guards who can see plays happen before they happen.<\/p>\n

"Josh is one of those kids who can definitely see the game a lot quicker than a lot of guys out on the floor.<\/p>\n

"He's been playing beautiful basketball."<\/p>\n

Giddey is in possibly the best stretch of his young career so far – he recorded triple doubles in his past three games<\/a>, and has been the Western Conference's 'Rookie of the Month' in November, December, and January.<\/p>\n

In 53 games, Giddey has averaged 12.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists.<\/p>\n

Giddey spoke about being coached by James Worthy in the Rising Stars game as well as rubbing elbows with some of the all-time greats of the game, including Shaquille O'Neal and Dikembe Mutombo.<\/p>\n

"It's obviously special, it's crazy – because 12 months ago I didn't even know if I'd be in the NBA, and you fast forward to right now, and things are happening," Giddey told reporters yesterday.<\/p>\n

"A lot of it doesn't feel real still. I'm taking it day-by-day, and I'm kind of taking the individual stuff as it comes, you enjoy it for a little bit but then put it to the side and then focus on what's ahead."<\/p>\n
