Morris told Wide World Of Sports.

"He knows he has to step up this year and his whole attitude and body language have been great.

"He took a few suggestions I made on board and he has been terrific at training.

"With Shaun Johnson (Achilles) set to miss the start of the season, it's vital for us for Matt to step up and I think you will see the best of him again this year."

At 29, Moylan still has plenty of football in him – if he remains motivated and injury-free.

MANLY POACHES YOUNG GUN FROM STORM

Manly has pinched one of the best young centre prospects in the game from the Storm, signing him to a four-year deal.

Cayden Close is only 15 but was in hot demand after winning the Coffs Harbour Comets Best & Fairest award last season.

A member of the NSW & Australian under 16s touch sides, he has lightning feet and after scoring six tries in a game against Group 19 early last year, had seven clubs on his trail.

Also a star sprinter, he settled on Manly after some sweet talking from Sea Eagles recruitment boss Noel Cleal and will definitely be one to watch in coming years.

The youngster will move to Sydney next season, where he has a full scholarship with St Joseph's College in Hunters Hill.

COWBOYS FAVOURITE SET TO BE FIT FOR START OF SEASON

Crowd favourite Kyle Feldt is on track to be right for the start of the new season with the Cowboys.

Feldt – who would have been a certainty to make his State of Origin debut late last year before being ruled out by a groin injury, had surgery to correct the problem after the season.

There were fears that he would struggle to miss the mid-March kickoff but the flying winger is back on the training ground and looking good.

"Kyle is running freely and will be good to go," incoming Cowboys coach Todd Payten said.

"He is a key man for us with his experience and ability to find the line so it's great news."

With playmaker Michael Morgan also over a nagging shoulder injury, the signs are good for the Cowboys coming into 2021.

EX-NRL STAR CONTINUES REMARKABLE RECOVERY FROM FREAK ACCIDENT

Mose Masoe continues to make remarkable strides in his recovery from a freak accident that had doctors fearing he would never walk again a year ago this week.

The former Panthers and Roosters prop is improving weekly – and is also confronting his demons.

Masoe suffered the neck injury playing in a pre-season game for Hull KR at Wakefield and was paralysed from the chest down for many months.

In a remarkable show of mental strength, he recently returned to the scene of the game, having his photo taken on the exact spot where the fateful tackle occured as a permanent reminder of the incident –
