The confirmation of the maximum crowd allowed is a significant step back from the initial proposal of a 50 percent capacity.<\/p>\n
"It sounds to me like they're being fairly prudent and conservative," he told Nine's TODAY.<\/p>\n
"The disappointing thing is a lot of those rural people who come down for the Test match, and they do it every year, they're the ones that are going to miss out and that's a real shame because it's something they do every year. <\/p>\n

"They come down for their holidays and take in the Test match. It's how I started watching Test match cricket."<\/p>\n
Despite his views on the crowd, Taylor did not expect the lack of a substantial support base to affect players' performances on either side.<\/p>\n
"I don't think it will affect the play at all. We're in the midst of a very good series," he said.<\/p>\n
"There's obviously a lot going on off the field, but if you look at the series itself, it's 1-1 and there's been two hotly contested Tests so far with the ball dominating the bat, which is good for Test match cricket. I think we're in for a very good Test match."<\/p>\n
