{"id":1761,"date":"2020-11-27T05:00:25","date_gmt":"2020-11-27T06:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=1761"},"modified":"2020-11-27T10:20:13","modified_gmt":"2020-11-27T10:20:13","slug":"pakistans-isolation-behaviour-significantly-improved-nz-govt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=1761","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan\u2019s isolation behaviour \u2018significantly improved\u2019: NZ govt"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin: 5px 5% 10px 5%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/arysports.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Pakistan-squad-in-New-Zealand.jpg\" width=\"742\" height=\"486\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Wellington:\u00a0The Pakistan cricket team\u2019s behaviour in their bio-secure facility in Christchurch had \u201csignificantly improved\u201d, New Zealand\u2019s Ministry of Health said on Friday, just 24 hours after the tourists had been warned about breaching COVID-19 protocols.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">The ministry had confirmed on Thursday that six of the 53 touring party members had tested positive for the novel coronavirus upon arrival, while there was also evidence there had been breaches of bio-security rules.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">\u201cSince the team was issued with a warning, compliance with MIQ (managed isolation and quarantine) rules in the facility has significantly improved,\u201d it said in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">\u201cWe thank members of the team for their co-operation with the case investigations following the announcement of positive cases within the team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">\u201cCo-operation and compliance are critical in ensuring New Zealand is kept safe from COVID-19.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">The positive results had come from tests administered upon the team\u2019s entry to New Zealand, where all arrivals have to undergo 14 days of isolation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">The ministry added that the squad had undergone a second round of COVID-19 testing on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">The team had been given an exemption to train together in small \u2018bubbles\u2019 after the second round of testing but that has been temporarily rescinded after the positive results.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">Health officials were still conducting interviews with the squad. Anyone considered to have been in close contact with the six positives will not be allowed to train.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">News of the positive tests and the restrictions being placed on the team sparked an angry response from former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who said New Zealand officials had treated them like a club team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">\u201cI want to give a message to New Zealand board (NZC) that this is not a club team, it\u2019s Pakistan national cricket team,\u201d Shoaib said on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">\u201cWe don\u2019t need you.
