The performance will do nothing to aid his case for a Test recall.<\/p>\n<p>But it was a young Australia A teammate who announced himself as a genuine Test prospect for the future, if not for this summer.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"7e8273cd-f91f-4e45-b17a-82b8eee82f66\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/7e8273cd-f91f-4e45-b17a-82b8eee82f66\" alt=\"Australia A&#x27;s Bryce Street gets his 100 during the tour match between Australia A and England Lions at Ian Healy Oval.\" data-width=\"4403\" data-height=\"3068\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bryce Street, 23, top scored for the match with an unbeaten 119 in the second innings.<\/p>\n<p>He faced 254 deliveries in the knock. In his first dig he was out for 26 off 91 balls.<\/p>\n<p>Street has also scored a 143 and an 87 for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield this season. He averages 37.62 from 21 first-class matches.<\/p>\n<p>There could be an opening spot available in the Aussie Test team unless <a href=\"https:\/\/wwos.nine.com.au\/cricket\/marcus-harris\" title=\"Marcus Harris\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marcus Harris<\/a> finds some runs in the next match in Adelaide.<\/p>\n<p><img data-video-id=\"6286255620001\" src=\"https:\/\/vms-network-images-prod.s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com\/2021\/12\/398580\/211211.00_00_17_01.still001.jpg\" alt=\" Harris hits winning runs as Aussies triumph at the Gabba\" data-vms-id=\"ref:ckx1aaqby003g0in2umngors8\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The left-hander was lucky to be picked by selectors for the opening Test, then was out for 3 in the first innings. He scored the winning runs in the second but only had to score 9 to do it, and looked far from convincing.<\/p>\n<p>Harris&#x27; first-class average of 39.62 is only slightly better than Street&#x27;s, and he&#x27;s largely failed at Test level in his 11 games for Australia.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nic_savage1\/status\/1468734154476965889?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"embed-social embed-twitter\">https:\/\/twitter.com\/nic_savage1\/status\/1468734154476965889?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also for Australia A, fast bowler Michael Neser took seven wickets for the match.<\/p>\n<p>Neser, 31, has been around the Test squad previously but never been handed a baggy green.
