Cricket Australia's summer fixture has been thrown a new curveball with reports suggesting India have expressed their reluctance to travel to Brisbane for the fourth Test.<\/p>\n

According to Cricbuzz<\/em>, fears over being pushed into a hard lockdown upon arrival in Queensland have resulted in India wanting to play the final two Tests at the same venue.<\/p>\n

"If you look at it, we were quarantining for 14 days in Dubai before landing in Sydney and doing so for another 14 days," an Indian official told Cricbuzz<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"That means we were in a hard bubble for nearly a month before coming out. What we don't want now is to quarantine again at the end of the tour."<\/p>\n

India is currently scheduled to travel to Sydney on January 4 before training for two days prior to the third Test at the SCG on January 7.<\/p>\n

Despite Queensland having currently shut its borders to NSW, both India and Australia have received exemptions that will allow them to travel to Brisbane for the fourth Test.<\/p>\n

News of India's displeasure at having to undergo another quarantine period comes after five of the team's players were investigated for a potential COVID-19 bubble breach<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An Indian fan posted a photo of Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw eating at a Melbourne restaurant in an apparent breach of Cricket Australia's strict biosecurity protocols.<\/p>\n

CA released a statement on Saturday night, saying that both it and the Board of Control for Cricket in India are seeking to determine whether the outing constitutes a breach of biosecurity protocols.<\/p>\n
