Parramatta<\/a> have ended the contract speculation around captain Clint Gutherson<\/a>, inking the fullback to a new deal until the end of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

Gutherson was one of several key Eels whose contracts were due to expire in the 2022-23 off-season.<\/p>\n

The Eels are at a crossroads in terms of the club's future, with fans hopeful that Gutherson, along with both prop Junior Paulo<\/a> and hooker Reed Mahoney<\/a>, would all be along for the ride.<\/p>\n

Over the past two weeks the Eels lost both Marata Niukore to the Warriors<\/a>, and Isaiah Papali'i to the Wests Tigers<\/a>, while also signing Reagan Campbell-Gillard to an extension<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gutherson joined the Eels from Manly in 2016, after rising through the junior ranks at the Sea Eagles.<\/p>\n

He quickly became a fan favourite at Parramatta and was made made a co-captain of the club in 2018, and making his State of Origin debut in 2020.<\/p>\n
