Melbourne star Brandon Smith<\/a> has been busted meeting with the NRL's newest club, the Dolphins, as he weighs up his rugby league future.<\/p>\n

A day after it was reported Smith had met with Gold Coast<\/a>, he was seen walking into Dolphins headquarters flanked by club heavies.<\/p>\n

"What meeting? I was just in there playing the pokies," Smith joked as he was questioned by Channel Nine outside the club.<\/p>\n

"I haven't met (Dolphins coach) Wayne (Bennett)."<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old is arguably the best utility in the game, starting at hooker for the Storm this year but also able to play at prop, lock, and second row.<\/p>\n

He will command big money on the open market but Melbourne is hopeful of retaining him beyond 2022.<\/p>\n

"Brandon's a quality player and we loved having him here today, showing him around the facility," Dolphins CEO Terry Reader told Channel Nine.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the Titans confirmed their interest in Smith.<\/p>\n

"We would love to have Brandon Smith playing for our team… he's a sensational player," club CEO Steve Mitchell said.<\/p>\n
