Roosters superstar Joey Manu<\/a> has shunned big-money offers from elsewhere and will stick with the Bondi club until at least the end of 2024.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old utility gun is one of the most sought-after players in both rugby codes, and would have commanded upwards of $1 million a season if he put himself on the open market.<\/p>\n

Instead Manu has decided to commit to the Chooks for the next three seasons, per Channel Nine reporter Danny Weidler.<\/p>\n

Manu has won two NRL premierships with the Roosters and is a permanent member of the New Zealand team.<\/p>\n

He's considered the best centre in rugby league but has shown his ability to be equally effective at fullback and five-eighth in recent seasons.<\/p>\n

The Warriors were one rival club keen to sign him<\/a> from 2023, while New Zealand rugby was also calling in the hope Manu would jump ship and be available for a potential All Blacks appearance at the 2023 World Cup.<\/p>\n

His Roosters salary this year was said to be $700,000 but he's likely to be earning much closer to seven figures from next year onwards, such is his standing in the game and at the cub.<\/p>\n
