Rodgers tested positive Wednesday, was unavailable to play in the Packers\u2019 13-7 loss Sunday at Kansas City and remains quarantined in his Green Bay home.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"fa9804ac-f3c2-49d9-9b44-abb2f748d48d\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/fa9804ac-f3c2-49d9-9b44-abb2f748d48d\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"1920\" data-height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI shared an opinion that\u2019s polarising,\u201d Rodgers said. \u201cI get it. And I misled some people about my status, which I take full responsibility of, those comments. But in the end, I have to stay true to who I am and what I\u2019m about. He didn\u2019t specify the ingredient.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time NFL MVP said he didn\u2019t want the Johnson &amp; Johnson vaccine after hearing of multiple people who\u2019d had adverse reactions to it. Rodgers also said he was worried about potential fertility issues from getting one of these three vaccines. But about 20 minutes later, he acknowledged that he had misled some people about his vaccination status.<\/p>\n<p>Legendary shock jock Howard Stern blasted Rodgers&#x27; behaviour, saying that he would throw him out of the league if he had the option.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We have no time for idiots in this country anymore. We don&#x27;t want you. We want you to all, either go to the hospital -stay home &#8211; die there with your COVID,&quot; he added.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Don&#x27;t take the cure, but don&#x27;t clog up our hospitals with your COVID when you finally get it. Stay home, don&#x27;t bother with science, it&#x27;s too late. Serious side effects are extremely rare \u2014 and any risk is far lower than the risks posed by COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>The NFL determined in its review that Rodgers and Lazard attended a Halloween party while unvaccinated. League protocols prohibit unvaccinated players from gathering outside of the club facility in a group of more than three players.<\/p>\n<p>While Rodgers has appeared at news conferences unmasked regularly, a review of video from the club facility showed no widespread or systemic mask-wearing violations aside from a few isolated incidents involving Rodgers and Lazard. The Packers were fined in part because they knew about the protocol violations at the Halloween party but didn&#x27;t discipline either player or inform the league.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"8fb2ef63-1eb7-4bb3-8367-608f4ef1756a\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/8fb2ef63-1eb7-4bb3-8367-608f4ef1756a\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"1920\" data-height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>League officials warned the Packers that future violations could lead to more disciplinary measures including a possible change in draft position or loss of picks.<\/p>\n<p>In his radio show appearance Tuesday, Rodgers emphasised that he realises the gravity of the pandemic and its impact. Rodgers had talked Friday about being \u201cin the crosshairs of the woke mob\u201d and wanting to tell his side of the story \u201cbefore my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand that people are suffering,\u201d Rodgers said. \u201cThis has been a really difficult time for the last two years on so many people. We all know individuals who\u2019ve lost their lives personally, people who\u2019ve lost their businesses, their livelihoods. Their way of life has been altered completely. And I empathise with those things. I also know how sports cam be such a connector and bring people together in times of adversity. I do realise that I am a role model to a lot of people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After Rodgers made his comments Friday, Wisconsin-based Prevea Health said it had ended its nine-year partnership with the veteran quarterback. Prevea Health\u2019s announcement said it was a mutual parting.<\/p>\n<p>State Farm issued a statement Monday saying it disagrees with some of Rodgers\u2019 statements, but respects his right to have his own opinion, an indication it would keep its relationship with one of its biggest celebrity endorsers. State Farm\u2019s statement says it encourages vaccinations but noted that Rodgers \u201chas been a great ambassador for our company for much of the past decade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rodgers said he doesn\u2019t feel a need to address the commentary that has followed his remarks about why he didn\u2019t get vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m an athlete,\u201d Rodgers said. \u201cI\u2019m not an activist. I\u2019m going to get back to doing what I do best, and that\u2019s playing ball. I shared my opinion. It wasn\u2019t one that was come to frivolously. It involved a lot of study and what I felt like was in my best interest for my body.
