NFL star Aaron Rodgers<\/a> has been headline news in the US the past week since news blew up about his vaccination status<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The reigning MVP<\/a> missed the Packers' loss to the Chiefs on the weekend after testing positive for COVID-19, and it was previously reported the quarterback was in quarantine at his home in Green Bay hopeful of suiting up for his team this Monday (AEDT) against Seattle.<\/p>\n

However, rumours started circulating this morning that Rodgers broke isolation rules and was spotted buying a cup of coffee in his native California. The Daily Mail published a photo of a masked man with a coffee outside a cafe, alleging it was Rodgers breaking quarantine.<\/p>\n

That led to the star's actor fiance, Shailene Woodley, to take to social media, giving an ultra detailed explanation to prove why the man in the photo isn't Rodgers.<\/p>\n

"Literally y'all need to calm the f— down," Woodley wrote, with a screenshot from the Daily Mail piece.<\/p>\n

"This is straight up HILARIOUS. News outlets still grasping at straws to disparage Aaron. Finding random f—— men on the streets of L.A. and saying it's him."<\/p>\n

Woodley delved deeper into why the man in the photo could never be the Packers' signal caller.<\/p>\n

"I know Aaron's body VERY well. First off, his feet, ahem and no offense to this rando dude, are a LOT bigger.<\/p>\n

"Also, for those of us who know Aaron beyond the worlds of obsessed sport and s—-y media, it's no secret that he has the hairiest hands on the f—— planet. This oblivious homie, clearly, does not. (Go ahead, zoom in.)"<\/p>\n

In addition, Woodley said Rodgers would "never" drive the car the unnamed man was driving.<\/p>\n

It was later confirmed that Rodgers was still in Wisconsin, with ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio citing "a source with knowledge of the situation" that he was at his Green Bay home and was in video communication with the team.<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail has since deleted the coffee shop allegations and the photos from its article.<\/p>\n

Rodgers spoke on 'The Pat McAfee Show' this morning, four days after discussing on the same outlet his reasons for avoiding a vaccine.<\/p>\n

"I shared an opinion that's polarising," Rodgers said. "I get it. And I misled some people about my status, which I take full responsibility of, those comments. But in the end, I have to stay true to who I am and what I'm about. I stand behind the things that I said."<\/p>\n
