The Bulldogs will need a total of 2013 points to match a bid at pick No.2 for Darcy, but it&#x27;s expected the club will have enough picks in hand to match an approach from GWS.<\/p>\n<p>GWS recruiting boss Adrian Caruso remained tight-lipped on whether the Giants would attempt to bid on either Daicos or Darcy<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Ultimately we might bid, but we might not bid,&quot; he said recently.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It is just a really hard one to make a call on at the moment before having done all the work on the boys in the frame for us.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"715ad331-433f-4d59-82be-1fbfa66c503c\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/715ad331-433f-4d59-82be-1fbfa66c503c\" alt=\" Josh Gibcus\" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Josh Gibcus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Key defender, Greater Western Victoria Rebels\/Vic Country<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Height and weight: 195cm, 84kg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>DOB: 4\/4\/03<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Josh Gibcus will likely be the No.1 choice when it comes to drafting a key defender.<\/p>\n<p>His destination is also a mystery, but it&#x27;s safe to assume clubs with high draft picks &#8211; Gold Coast (Pick 3), Adelaide (Pick 4), Hawthorn (Pick 5), Fremantle (Pick 6), Richmond (7) &#8211; will take be keeping a close eye on him.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I don&#x27;t mind where I go. I&#x27;ve travelled around a fair bit which I think has helped me and I can understand how moving works,&quot; Gibcus said recently to AFL.com.au.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I&#x27;ll just take the opportunity as it comes and whoever picks me on draft night, I&#x27;ll go and give it everything I&#x27;ve got.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Many scouts have lauded Gibcus&#x27; intercept marking ability.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;My vertical leap and intercept marking are some of the biggest strengths of my game,&quot; Gibcus said.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Reading the ball is something I&#x27;ve always prided my game on, and I always thought if I could improve on that as much as possible it could become a real weapon for me.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"d58ab84d-a4b7-411a-b455-f6454e7377c9\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/d58ab84d-a4b7-411a-b455-f6454e7377c9\" alt=\"Ben Hobbs\" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ben Hobbs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Midfielder, Greater Western Victoria Rebels\/Vic Country<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Height and weight: 183cm\/80kg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>DOB: 16\/9\/03<\/em><\/p>\n<p>With fellow midfielders Daicos and Horne-Francis expected to go as father-son selections, don&#x27;t be surprised if plenty of clubs are keeping close tabs on Ben Hobbs.<\/p>\n<p>Hobbs will essentially be one of the top midfielders that clubs won&#x27;t have to get into a bidding war over.<\/p>\n<p>He admitted in a recent interview that he&#x27;s spoken to nearly all 18 clubs.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Every club but one,&quot; Hobbs replied. &quot;It&#x27;s been pretty good, and I&#x27;ve really enjoyed that process.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"b4b0ed4a-0ea3-4db9-afd9-5641b1ede950\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/b4b0ed4a-0ea3-4db9-afd9-5641b1ede950\" alt=\"Josh Ward of Vic Metro \" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Josh Ward<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Midfielder, Northern Knights\/Vic Metro<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Height and weight: 181cm\/79kg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>DOB: 15\/8\/03<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Josh Ward is another midfielder expected to attract interest.<\/p>\n<p>In what&#x27;s a stacked draft in terms of midfielders, Ward has found his name at the top of many mock draft lists and will likely go as a top 10 selection.<\/p>\n<p>With a time of 5:57, he recently topped the Vic Metro and NSW\/ACT list for the 2km time trial.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"19cdbc99-66eb-40ff-863a-5c634ae79bc3\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/19cdbc99-66eb-40ff-863a-5c634ae79bc3\" alt=\"Mac Andrew in action during the NAB AFL Academy training session \" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mac Andrew<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Forward<\/em>\/<em>Ruck, Dandenong Stingrays\/Vic Country<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Height and weight: 200cm\/80kg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>DOB: 12\/4\/03<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Melbourne Next Generation Academy player Mac Andrew is firming as arguably the best key position prospect.<\/p>\n<p>The 200-centimetre tall, who looks destined to take on a ruck-forward role if he chooses, could easily go as a top 10 selection.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theage.com.au\/sport\/afl\/big-mac-andrew-bulks-up-ahead-of-afl-draft-20211027-p593q0.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"The Age\">The Age<\/a>, Andrew has drawn interest from the Giants, who have made no secret of their desire to bring in a tall, especially in the wake of Shane Mumford&#x27;s retirement.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for the Demons, under the revised academy rules, the club is unable to match a top-20 bid that&#x27;s expected to come for Andrew.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew&#x27;s stock has been rising, and it&#x27;s only getting bigger with the key position prospect confirming he&#x27;s recently put on 10 kilograms after having weighed 70 kilograms earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I&#x27;ve put on about 10 kilos this year, so I&#x27;m about 80 now,&quot; he told The Age<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&quot;I&#x27;m still pretty light, but Melbourne, they gave me a [weights] program to do and I reached out to the nutritionists that they&#x27;ve got.
