A new trade<\/a> contender has emerged in the Ben Simmons<\/a> saga as the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> up the ante on the Australian over his reluctance to divulge details about the help he's receiving for his mental health.<\/p>\n

The Athletic reports, the Sixers are becoming frustrated by a lack of information regarding the star's health and are "testing" the validity of Simmons' pursuit of help for his mental health issues.<\/p>\n

The report states the Sixers have become "increasingly irritated" over the lack of clarity from Simmons, despite the 25-year-old providing the names of each of his mental health professionals.<\/p>\n

The NBA franchise wants to understand Simmons' situation in more depth in their attempt to get him back on the court, but patient confidentiality is getting in the way.<\/p>\n

The Sixers have expressed a desire to get the Aussie back on the court swiftly but the situation doesn't look like it's going to be resolved anytime soon.<\/p>\n

The 76ers started fining Simmons last week and confirmed they will return to financially penalising him.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia is not entertaining any suggestions to lower their price for the disgruntled player, amid their strong start to the season.<\/p>\n

According to The Athletic, Boston has engaged in conversations with the Sixers, and "expressed interest" in a deal for Simmons.<\/p>\n

The report claims Celtics star Jalen Brown would have been included in the deal after Boston's rough start to the year.<\/p>\n
