Suspended Collingwood<\/a> superstar Jordan De Goey<\/a> will no longer face charges of groping a woman, after his arrest in New York.<\/p>\n

Nine's Michael Genovese broke the news this morning that prosecutors have decided against pursuing any charges in relation to a 35-year-old female.<\/p>\n

He'll still have to appear in court on December 8 charged with the assault and harassment of a 37-year-old man. De Goey has pleaded not guilty to that charge.<\/p>\n

De Goey was stood down by the Magpies on the weekend, with the club saying it was "deeply disappointed" by the events that allegedly took place in New York.<\/p>\n

Port Adelaide great Kane Cornes said yesterday he expects Collingwood<\/a> to dump De Goey<\/a> within the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

The New York incident is the latest in a string of controversies involving the 25-year-old, including lying over the cause of a broken hand and a drink driving charge.<\/p>\n

Speaking to SEN Radio, Cornes said the latest incident is likely to be the last straw for the Magpies.<\/p>\n

"I think they will be (finished with him). I'm not going to say that he won't play for Collingwood again, but in terms of his long-term future I can't see there's a way beyond next year that he's at Collingwood," he said.<\/p>\n

"To see the images and the videos coming through social media, which were tracked down, it's about the most embarrassing thing I can remember of a player who, a week prior, was telling us how fit he was going to be and how hard he had been training.<\/p>\n

"It's not going to cut it, particularly in these times. How many chances does this guy need?"<\/p>\n
