The NRL's incoming 17th franchise, the Dolphins<\/a>, have given fans a glimpse of what's to come with the unveiling of its Heritage Round jersey.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins, along with new coach Wayne Bennett<\/a>, took to their future home ground Suncorp Stadium today to showcase the club's new jersey, as well as a major sponsor.<\/p>\n

Dolphins boss Terry Reader confirmed the club had secured a four-year sponsorship deal with Adventure Kings.<\/p>\n

But most importantly, a Heritage Round jersey, which will be worn only on special occasions, was unveiled.<\/p>\n

While the club has controversially dropped Redcliffe from its name<\/a>, the special occasion jersey will play a big part in acknowledging the Dolphins' history.<\/p>\n

"It's based on the iconic 80s jersey of the Redcliffe Dolphins, honouring our history and we're really proud of that," Reader said.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins' regular home and away strips are still being designed.<\/p>\n

With the club set to take to the field in 2023, from November 1, the Dolphins can officially start talking to players.<\/p>\n

"We've been really respectful of the rules and there's a lot of work going on in the background… we're very confident we will be able to have a very competitive roster for our first season," Reader said.<\/p>\n
