New South Wales fast bowler Sean Abbott has put his hand up for a Test debut following a stellar outing against Victoria in a Sheffield Shield clash.<\/p>\n

Abbott took 6-38 as Victoria finished with just 199<\/a> on day one at Drummoyne Oval.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old claimed the crucial wicket of Nic Maddinson, whose score of 87 saved Victoria from a catastrophic low total.<\/p>\n

Abbott, who's represented Australia in the ODI format on two occasions, also dismissed former Australian Test star Peter Handscomb, as well as Test opener Marcus Harris.<\/p>\n

Scott Boland, James Seymour and Matt Short also fell victim to Abbott.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, 19-year-old legspinner Tanveer Sangha also starred for New South Wales.<\/p>\n
