Teenage fast bowler Darcie Brown became just the sixth player in WBBL<\/a> history to claim a hat-trick when she achieved the feat against the Brisbane Heat on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old Adelaide star got Heat batters Georgia Redmayne, Ellie Johnston, and Laura Kimmince out in three consecutive balls to tear through the opposition's top order. All three wickets were caught.<\/p>\n

Brown has already represented Australia in all three formats of the game and has proven to be one of the country's brightest young bowlers.<\/p>\n

It left the Heat reeling, who went from 1-57 to 4-57 in the space of three deliveries.<\/p>\n

The game had been reduced to innings of only 11 overs, after wet weather delayed the start of the match.<\/p>\n

Brisbane finished on 5-104. Brown's final figures were 3-28 off three overs.<\/p>\n

The Strikers then produced a thrilling chase but ended up needing seven runs off the last ball of the match, and the Heat won by five runs.<\/p>\n

Brown joins an elite group of WBBL players to have achieved a hat-trick.<\/p>\n

The others are Nicole Bolton (2015), Gemma Triscari (2016), Amy Satterthwaite (2017), Dane van Niekerkvs (2017), and Marizanne Kapp (2019).<\/p>\n
