The Brumbies have replaced outgoing winger Solomone Kata with former Waratahs flyer Cam Clark for the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific season.<\/p>\n

The Canberra club allowed former NRL star Kata a release from his contract so he could stay in New Zealand for personal reasons.<\/p>\n

And Clark – an Olympic sevens player from Rio 2016 – is an experienced and versatile replacement who is likely to see plenty of game-time next season.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old played 35 games for the Waratahs and was on the books of the San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby this year.<\/p>\n

"We've watched Cam closely\u00a0for a while now and we're happy he'll be joining us for at least this season," Brumbies coach Dan McKellar said.<\/p>\n

"He's a quality player, excellent physical attributes and he's experienced which means he'll come in knowing what's expected at this level.<\/p>\n

"One thing we all noticed from his time at the Waratahs was just how hard he plays the game, and after a really good season playing in\u00a0the US, we think he'll come into our program and push hard for a jersey."<\/p>\n

Kata, meanwhile, departs after scoring five tries in his 15 games for the Brumbies.<\/p>\n

"I want to thank the Brumbies for granting me this early release," Kata said.<\/p>\n
