Ben Simmons<\/a>' absence during his team's opening NBA game didn't go unnoticed, with the home fans taking the opportunity to sledge the visiting Philadelphia 76ers about the situation regarding their star player<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Just before half time, audible "where's Ben Simmons?" chants rang around the brilliantly named Smoothie King Center, as the Sixers clung to a lead (watch the video above).<\/p>\n

Simmons was suspended from the season opener by his coach Doc Rivers after the Aussie superstar refused to participate in training drills earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Simmons is available top be selected for the 76ers' next game – against the Nets on Saturday (AEDT) – but it remains to be seen whether he suits up for the team again.<\/p>\n
