Coming off the bench, the 33-year-old was ice cold from downtown, ending the game with 21 points, two rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block in 29 minutes.<\/p>\n

The former Spurs player joins just a handful of players to ever make seven or more threes in an NBA game without missing<\/a>, including Kobe Bryant and would-be teammate Kyrie Irving, who is still away from the team due to his vaccine refusal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The record is nine-for-nine, set by Latrell Sprewell in 2003 and equalled twice by Ben Gordon, in 2006 and 2012.<\/p>\n

Mills also matched the record for most threes made on debut with a new team.<\/p>\n

After 10 years in San Antonio, Mills signed a two-year, $US12 million ($16m) deal with the Nets<\/a>, teaming up with Irving as well as other stars Kevin Durant, James Harden and Blake Griffin.<\/p>\n

It was a brilliant first-up title defence from the Bucks, who last season lifted the trophy for the first time since 1971<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Their star duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton picked up where they left off, contributing 32 and 20 points, respectively.<\/p>\n
