The woman caught up in Tyrone May's sex scandal has broken her silence after the Panthers utility recently shared a controversial post on Instagram referencing the highly publicised saga.<\/a><\/p>\n

Like many Panthers players, May took to social media to celebrate Penrith's grand final win over the Rabbitohs<\/a> at Suncorp Stadium, but his post referenced his legal troubles over recent years.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to four counts of intentionally recording an image without consent and was sentenced to 300 hours of community service, as part of a three-year community corrections order back in 2020.<\/p>\n

The post was later taken down by May before he completely shut down his Instagram account.<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking out on the condition of anonymity, the woman at the centre of the scandal said she was disappointed to see that May hadn't learnt from the ordeal.<\/p>\n

"I'm pretty sure, when you see the way he's acting, that he hasn't learnt anything," she told the Sydney Morning Herald.<\/a><\/p>\n

"He is still in the exact same spot. Wake up to yourself. You need to learn.<\/p>\n

"If I want to go and [have sex in private], that's me. That shouldn't be shown to the world. But unfortunately, it did. Now I struggle. I've had two relationships since then and I struggle to hold relationships because I have to be open and honest … Once they find out, I can't maintain a relationship because of it."<\/p>\n

May uploaded a series of photos with lyrics from 'Fair Trade' by rapper Drake as the caption following his side's first premiership win since 2003.<\/p>\n

The first photo was an image of himself attending court with coach Ivan Cleary, and the caption read:<\/p>\n

"And the dirt that they threw on my name\/turned to soil and I grew up out it\/time for y'all to figure out what y'all gon' do about it," May wrote.<\/p>\n

The Panthers confirmed to the Sydney Morning Herald that the social media post is being investigated by the NRL.<\/p>\n

"Tyrone's social media post is currently under investigation by the NRL," said Panthers CEO Brian Fletcher. "Out of respect for that process, the club is awaiting an outcome before considering further action."<\/p>\n
