David Warner<\/a> has revealed nothing was "explained" to him after he was axed as skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad.<\/p>\n

When the 2021 IPL season resumed last month following a COVID-19 hiatus, Warner, who was no longer the captain after being replaced by Kane Williamson earlier, was dropped from the team after just two innings.<\/p>\n

Warner never featured again following scores of 0 and 2 in Hyderabad's first two games back after the hiatus.<\/p>\n

Despite averaging an incredible 69.20 with the bat in 2019, Warner's numbers have dipped since, averaging 39.14 in 2020 and just 24.37 this year.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old claims the hardest part about his fallout with the IPL franchise was not being told why he was let go as captain.<\/p>\n

"The disappointing thing for me was not being explained why I was dropped as captain," Warner told Sports Today<\/em> in India.<\/p>\n

"I think if you want to go along the lines of form, it's a difficult one because I guess whatever you've done in the past would have some weight moving forward, especially when you've played 100 games for the franchise.<\/p>\n

"You don't know who is going for you, who wants you to be selected, who doesn't. End of the day you're told you're not playing.<\/p>\n

"It's difficult, a bitter pill to swallow, but I don't think I will ever get answers and must move on."<\/p>\n

Warner said his focus now was on looking forward to the upcoming IPL auction, with next season to feature two new franchises.<\/p>\n

"Sometimes you get the feeling that you're not going to be retained by a franchise, with little signs that you could see in and around the group," he said.<\/p>\n

"It's time to look forward, there's another auction coming up."<\/p>\n
