Karachi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the teams of the decade of all three formats. No player from Pakistan has been named in each of these teams.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The sides are picked by the ICC\u2019s Voting Academy of journalists and broadcasters.\u00a0The XI has been selected based on performances from January 1, 2011, and October 7, 2020.<\/p>\n

Men’s T20I side of the decade<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Players from six countries have made it into the final XI with India having the most representation (4) in the team.<\/p>\n

The side is led by former Indian captain and wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni while surprisingly Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and India’s Jasprit Bumrah have been named.<\/p>\n

From India, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been named in the XI while Australia\u2019s limited-overs skipper Aaron Finch is also part of the team along with his teammate Glenn Maxwell, while South Africa has a sole representation in AB de Villiers.<\/p>\n

West Indies T20 superstars Kieron Pollard and Chris Gayle also make it to the XI, along with Sri Lanka veteran quick Lasith Malinga.<\/p>\n

Men’s ODI side of the decade<\/strong><\/h4>\n

India again has the most representatives in the XI with Rohit,Kohli and Dhoni while Australia (David Warner & Mitchell Starc) and South Africa (AB de Villiers & Imran Tahir) have the second-most representatives with two players each.<\/p>\n

Bangladesh, New Zealand, England, the current world champions, and Sri Lanka all have a player each in the XI.<\/p>\n

Men’s Test side of the decade<\/strong><\/h4>\n

England have most representatives in the XI, with Alastair Cook, Ben Stokes, Stuart Broad, and James Anderson all included in a team led by Kohli.<\/p>\n

Australia’s Steve Smith, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and former Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara are the only representations from the country.<\/p>\n

India’s Ravichandran Ashwin was selected ahead of Australia’s Nathan Lyon while South Africa’s Dale Steyn was the other specialist pacer included in the side.<\/p>\n

Shockingly, Pakistan’s Yasir Shah, who has been nominated as ICC Test player of the decade is not named in the side.<\/p>\n
