Basketball<\/a> legend Michael Jordan<\/a> has weighed in on the firestorm engulfing America's NBA<\/a> – and sport in general – around players being required to get vaccinated against COVID-19<\/a> in order to compete.<\/p>\n

The world's top basketball league is facing the probability of beginning its season without a number of its best players, the highest profile of which is controversial Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving.<\/p>\n

Irving is one player who has been vocal in his stance against the vaccination and, as it stands, he will be barred from attending a number of playing venues around the NBA.<\/p>\n

Jordan – considered the greatest to ever play the game – is in support of the NBA and its clubs requiring players and staff to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n

Jordan now owns the Charlotte Hornets, and he was quizzed by NBA on the vaccine issue.<\/p>\n

Asked if he took issue with the rules, Jordan said; "Not at all. Not at all. I am total in unison with the league".<\/p>\n

"And I think everybody, you know, has been speaking about the vaccinations.<\/p>\n

"And, you know, I'm a firm believer in science and… I'm going to stick with that and hopefully everybody abides by whatever the league sets the rules.<\/p>\n

"I think once everybody buys in, we're going the be fine."<\/p>\n
