Unwanted Gold Coast<\/a> utility Tyrone Peachey appears to have found a new home in the NRL.<\/p>\n

Multiple sources have reported Peachey will join Wests Tigers<\/a> on a two-year contract starting next season.<\/p>\n

It comes a fortnight after the Titans announced Peachey as one of six players to leave the club<\/a>, joining Mitch Rein, Ash Taylor, Sam Stone, Jai Whitbread, and Jonus Pearson, while Anthony Don has retired.<\/p>\n

Peachey, 30, has played 179 NRL games at three different clubs, and the Tigers will be his fourth.<\/p>\n

He also played the entire 2018 State of Origin series with NSW and has represented the Indigenous All Stars five times.<\/p>\n

He spent most of the 2021 season playing at lock for Gold Coast but is one of the most versatile players in the game and can do a job in the halves, at hooker, the backrow, centres, and even fullback.<\/p>\n

It's unclear what role the Tigers would want Peachey to play.<\/p>\n

The Roar reports his two-year deal is worth $800,000, or $400,000-a-season.<\/p>\n

That's half the salary Moses Mbye was on at Concord, and the two players are similar in terms of their versatility and experience. Mbye was released to join the Dragons from next season.<\/p>\n

The Tigers have struggled to land quality signings in the NRL marketplace for a number of years, and the club is desperate to climb the competition ladder after a decade in the finals wilderness.<\/p>\n
