The Wallabies have finished their Rugby Championship campaign with a dominant 32-17 win over Argentina on the Gold Coast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After downing the Pumas by 19 points last weekend<\/a>, the Wallabies kept that momentum going by notching back-to-back wins against Argentina and extended the run of victories to four.<\/p>\n

The win seals second spot on The Rugby Championship table, behind the winning All Blacks.<\/p>\n

Australia barely broke a sweat at Cbus Super Stadium tonight by taking a commanding 12-point lead at the main break, while also notching the first four tries of the match.<\/p>\n

Wallabies winger Andrew Kellaway hard arguably his best game at Test level, finishing the game with a hat-trick in a starring performance.<\/p>\n

But in a blow for the Australians, who have upcoming fixtures against Japan, England, Scotland and Wales, there are fears Samu Kerevi may have suffered a syndesmosis injury after he was forced out of the game early in the second half.<\/p>\n

"It's a big loss for the Wallabies," Tim Horan said in commentary for Nine and Stan Sport.<\/p>\n

"You want to make sure Samu Kerevi is right for the tour.<\/p>\n

\"Samu<\/p>\n

"Some big matches – one against Japan and others against England, Scotland and Wales. This man has been incredible with his ball carries…<\/p>\n

"He has his right ankle in an ice bath. A knock on the knee, but it looks like a syndesmosis to his right ankle."<\/p>\n

Wallabies coach Dave Rennie said the Wallabies are hoping the injury doesn't cost Kerevi too much time on the sideline. <\/p>\n

"[There are] question marks around Samu," Rennie said. "It used to be called a sprained ankle in my day. It's now called syndesmosis, which is much worse evidently. We're hoping it's not too long."<\/p>\n

While the Wallabies had control for most of the game, there were signs early on that it could've been a closer contest.<\/p>\n

Pumas winger Emiliano Boffelli failed to convert an early penalty goal which would've given his side the lead when things were tight during the opening stages.<\/p>\n

Later when trailing by three points, a yellow card to Tomas Lavanini in the 26th minute resulted in back-to-back tries for Australia.<\/p>\n

Lavanini was issued marching orders for taking out a Wallabies player in the air during a lineout.<\/p>\n

Argentina notched two late tries through reserve prop Thomas Gallo, but it was too little too late.<\/p>\n

Before playing Argentina the Wallabies had claimed back-to-back wins against world champions South Africa<\/a>.<\/p>\n
