The newly rebranded Australian Premier Leagues could be in hot water with an Adelaide construction company.<\/p>\n

Upon the launch of the new 'A-Leagues' brand this week which brought the A-League, W-League and Y-League under one logo, a resemblance to Adelaide Building Consulting was quickly picked up and the similarities in the logos debated online.<\/p>\n

Even the company itself joined in on the conversation, changing their logo on their social media to mimic the slightly different A-Leagues version, which though a different colour scheme, is very similar in its design.<\/p>\n

But the construction company could have grounds to potentially take legal action over copyright and trademark breaches.<\/p>\n

According to the Sydney Morning Herald<\/em><\/a> the company's managing director Timothy Rogers has been approached by numerous solicitors offering to take their case.<\/p>\n

"It's a bit funny, it's an odd situation. As for our position, we aren't sure what we are going to take," Rogers told the Herald.<\/em><\/p>\n

"I would assume we would have some dialogue with the A-League to see what their position is.<\/p>\n

"We have to look at our position because we don't want people to think we followed them. We don't want that repercussion."<\/p>\n

Rogers did not rule out pursuing legal action, describing the designs as "essentially the same".<\/p>\n
