Rugby league legend Mark Geyer has urged the Melbourne<\/a> "boofheads" caught in a suspect video this week to come clean and speak publicly in an effort to turn attention back on the NRL grand final<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Footage emerged yesterday allegedly showing Storm players in a room where there was a white substance on a table<\/a>. The players have since been identified as Cameron Munster and Brandon Smith.<\/p>\n

The news broke only hours before Tom Trbojevic was crowned the Dally M Medallist on Monday, and now the story threatens to hijack the lead-up to Penrith and South Sydney's grand final on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The video also surfaced only 24 hours after Warriors teen Reece Walsh admitted to being caught with cocaine<\/a> by Queensland Police on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The NRL integrity unit is now investigating both incidents. The Storm released a brief statement<\/a> but the players in question are yet to speak publicly.<\/p>\n

"It pisses me off, in the biggest and best week on our NRL calendar that all we're talking about some hijinks off the field," Geyer told Triple M's Rush Hour<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"With Walsh, he fell on his sword. Now the rehabilitation and education can start its process. He's a kid, I'm not sticking up for him in any way… but the fact he came out publicly and owned it is a way to start the healing already.<\/p>\n

"As for the other two boofheads, it's very un-Storm like. It's very un-Storm like to be in this situation.<\/p>\n

"They pride themselves on being really covert, and they don't usually let things like this slip out.<\/p>\n

\"NRL<\/p>\n

"I don't care what players do in their down time. But how stupid to let someone in your inner sanctum… have a camera out. Like come on.<\/p>\n

"Every phone, as we always talk about, is a loaded gun. And no matter what we find out about what these substances were, the fact we're all talking about it when we should have been talking about the Dally M last night, we're talking about it today when we should be pumping up the grand final week, is so selfish.<\/p>\n

"They've let themselves, their fans, and their club down. As soon as they make a statement, like Reece Walsh, the quicker we can move on and start healing."<\/p>\n
