Wests Tigers<\/a> are reportedly on the verge of sacking coach Michael Maguire.<\/p>\n

The Concord club won eight NRL games and finished 13th this season, marking a decade since the team last featured in finals.<\/p>\n

Maguire has been in charge of the outfit for two seasons and signed a contract extension at the end of last year. He still has two years to run on that deal.<\/p>\n

But reports from News Corp<\/a> on Sunday suggest the man known as 'Madge' has coached his last time for the club.<\/p>\n

Immediately following a demoralising last-round loss to Canterbury a fortnight ago, the Tigers board launched a review of the entire football department.<\/p>\n

Bizarrely, the review is headed by club CEO Justin Pascoe and football chief Adam Hartigan, who many believe should be being reviewed themselves.<\/p>\n

It appears the first domino to fall in the aftermath of the review will be the coach.<\/p>\n

"I would be surprised if Madge is at the Tigers beyond the end of this week," journalist James Hooper told Triple M radio on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Maguire coached South Sydney to the 2014 premiership and has since coached the New Zealand national team as well.<\/p>\n

It's been widely reported if Maguire does get the sack, the Tigers want to bring in current Penrith assistant coach Cameron Ciraldo to lead the club.<\/p>\n

Premiership-winning NRL coaches Wayne Bennett, Shane Flanagan, and Paul Green are all on the market for next year and beyond.<\/p>\n
