Gold Coast<\/a> playmakers Ash Taylor<\/a> and Tyrone Peachey<\/a> headline a host of Titans pushed out the door following the club's 2021 season.<\/p>\n

Taylor, Peachey, Mitch Rein, Sam Stone, Jai Whitbread and Jonus Pearson have all been let go by the Titans.<\/p>\n

The forced exit of Taylor marks an astounding fall by the playmaker, who was on $1 million a year over his final four seasons at the Titans but failed to live up to his price tag.<\/p>\n

As the Titans surged late to snare their first finals appearance since 2016 this season, Taylor was shunted to the sideline as Jamal Fogarty and Peachey combined in the halves.<\/p>\n

Taylor played 114 games across six years with Gold Coast, after crossing from Brisbane<\/a> ahead of the 2016 season.<\/p>\n

Peachey's forced departure also marks a jarring fall for the big-name utility, who was considered a prized signing when the Titans lured him from the Panthers<\/a> under then coach Garth Brennan<\/a> ahead of the 2019 season.<\/p>\n

Peachey was even a member of the NSW Blues<\/a> side that won the 2018 State of Origin<\/a> series 2-1, playing a dangerous role as a utility off the bench.<\/p>\n

The former Shark<\/a> and Panther played 63 matches across three years with the Titans.<\/p>\n

It's more feasible that 26-year-old Taylor will land a new deal at a rival NRL<\/a> club than 30-year-old Peachey, who might have to depart for the Super League<\/a> if he is to continue his professional rugby league career.<\/p>\n
