Australia's Dylan Alcott has made history, winning the US Open to claim the Golden Slam, with victory at all four majors as well as the Paralympics in the same year.<\/p>\n
Alcott defeated 18-year-old Niels Vink in the final, 7-5, 6-2.<\/p>\n
"I just can't believe I just won the Golden Slam," Alcott said.<\/p>\n
"I used to hate myself so much, I hated my disability, I didn't want to be here anymore, and I found tennis.<\/p>\n
"It changed and saved my life, and now to become the only male ever, in any form of tennis, to win the Golden Slam, it's pretty cool."<\/p>\n
