Titans<\/a> second-rower Kevin Proctor<\/a> was left frustrated and two rugby league greats dumbfounded, after the Roosters<\/a> ran in a try through fullback James Tedesco<\/a> on the back of a controversial penalty.<\/p>\n

Referee Adam Gee awarded the Roosters a penalty and the Tricolours kicked for touch, when Proctor collected back-rower Egan Butcher high in the 32nd minute of the Titans-Roosters elimination final<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tedesco then scored on the second tackle of the ensuing set, zipping up in support of a Victor Radley<\/a> line-break and dotting down.<\/p>\n

While the high contact was undeniable, Proctor was fuming because Butcher had had a massive slip, leading to an incidental shot across the face.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

It was a decision that didn't sit well with Manly<\/a> great Paul Vautin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"If that's a penalty, I don't know what I'm watching sometimes," Vautin said in commentary for Nine.<\/p>\n

"I really don't."<\/p>\n

Melbourne<\/a> legend Cameron Smith<\/a> added: "You can see the frustration on Kevin Proctor's face.<\/p>\n

"There is very little he could've done to avoid that."<\/p>\n
