Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge<\/a> has unleashed on the "distasteful" criticism of star midfielder Adam Treloar<\/a> after his side booked a spot in the 2021 grand final.<\/p>\n

Despite coming into the preliminary final against Port Adelaid<\/a>e as rank underdogs, Beveridge's men were at their rampant best and ran out 71-point winners.<\/p>\n

Following his side's win, Beveridge wasted little time before praising Treloar, who finished with 23 disposals and a goal in a bounce-back performance after a quiet semi-final.<\/p>\n

Beveridge took aim at a number of media critics who had unloaded on Treloar<\/a> in the wake of his ten disposals against the Brisbane Lions last week.<\/p>\n

"Some of the ridiculous commentary and the insinuations around Adam was just so distasteful from people," he told Seven after the win.<\/p>\n

"If you're going to fail at something, don't fail at trying to pull people down.<\/p>\n

"I just don't know how people can sleep next to people like that when they're so vindictive.<\/p>\n

"I was so happy to see [Treloar] play well tonight, and all the boys, we've got a lot to look forward to."<\/p>\n
