Coach Michael Maguire's job is hanging by a thread after Wests Tigers' woeful season spluttered to a dismal end in a 38-0 loss to the Bulldogs tonight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Running in seven unanswered tries in Redcliffe, the Bulldogs made the Tigers their punching bag as the wooden-spooners snapped a 10-game losing streak in emphatic fashion.<\/p>\n

But the result speaks more to the ongoing issues plaguing the joint-venture club, one that Maguire – despite his plaudits – hasn't been able to remedy in his three years at Concord.<\/p>\n

There's only so much time fans are willing to afford until they lose faith, and the earliest indications have the death knell already ringing for the premiership-winning coach.<\/p>\n

A season review is now underway in Concord after the Tigers again missed out on the finals, finishing 13th with just eight wins to their name.<\/p>\n

As part of that review, a decision is expected to be made on Maguire's tenure at the club.<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old still has two years to run on his current deal but calls to replace him have only grown louder following the latest capitulation, with The Australian's Brent Read reporting a call on the coach could be fast-tracked.<\/p>\n

Outside of the club, fans and pundits alike were at a loss as to how the situation in Tiger town had become so grim.<\/p>\n

The Tigers have not qualified for post-season football since 2011, the longest finals drought in NRL history, as a decade of woe crashed to a new low tonight.<\/p>\n
