Rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns<\/a> is predicting the Rabbitohs to go out in "straight sets" following the season-ending suspension to superstar fullback Latrell Mitchell.<\/p>\n

The Rabbitohs' premiership hopes took a major dive this week when it was announced Mitchell would be rubbed for the remainder of the year<\/a> following a controversial high shot that left star Rooster Joseph Manu in hospital with a serious facial injury.<\/a><\/p>\n

While the Rabbitohs are resting a host of stars for their final match of the regular season against the Dragons, it's expected young gun Blake Taaffe<\/a>, who's been named as Mitchell's replacement tomorrow night, will remain in that role.<\/p>\n

Mitchell through 17 games this, notched 13 tries, 14 assists and averaged 141 run-metres per game.<\/p>\n

Johns said due to Mitchell's high involvement in South Sydney's attack, there's no way the team will survive without him when finals football kicks off next week.<\/p>\n

"I gave South Sydney a real chance of winning the competition," Johns told Wide World of Sports' Immortal Behaviour.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

"They can't win it. There is no chance they can win it.<\/p>\n

"I think they will compete, and they will compete hard, but they can't win four big games in a row to win the grand final.<\/p>\n

"I think they will compete hard, but I think they will go straight out in straight sets because there's no Latrell.<\/p>\n

"The way they play Latrell, he's just so important to the way they attack."<\/p>\n
