{"id":119048,"date":"2021-08-25T02:57:41","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T02:57:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=119048"},"modified":"2021-08-25T03:58:55","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T03:58:55","slug":"aussie-cyclist-smashes-own-world-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=119048","title":{"rendered":"Aussie cyclist smashes own world record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Australian cyclist Paige Greco smashed her own world record in the women&#x27;s pursuit C3 3000m individual pursuit, giving Australia a huge boost on day one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwos.nine.com.au\/olympics\/tokyo-paralympics-2021-dates-sports-australian-paralympian-team-schedule-opening-ceremony-everything-to-know-ultimate-guide\/0313bf97-18be-4efc-bd24-422e94400b71\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Paralympics\">Paralympics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Greco, 24, broke her own world record by more than seven seconds in her heat when she finished in time of 3:52.283 to top the leaderboard on her Paralympic debut and book her place in the final against China&#x27;s Xiaomei Wang.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I&#x27;m so happy, I just can&#x27;t believe it,&quot; Greco said after the race.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"0e8772b1-1b94-4448-96ef-58cbe1b21ed0\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/0e8772b1-1b94-4448-96ef-58cbe1b21ed0\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"2784\" data-height=\"1566\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&quot;I went in thinking I&#x27;ve just got to stick to the schedule my coaches and I had planned.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It&#x27;s not over yet, I&#x27;ve got to recover and go onto the final, but (I&#x27;m) very happy.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I&#x27;d been working very hard on that schedule of training. I probably doubted myself a few times, but my coach and the staff, they all really believed in me and pushed me to tell me I do have it in me.
