Week one of the 2021 AFL<\/a> finals series is locked in and fans can look ahead to four mouthwatering duels.<\/p>\n

The finals series will get underway on Friday night when second-placed Port Adelaide<\/a> meet third-placed Geelong<\/a> at Adelaide Oval, in a rematch of last year's qualifying final.<\/p>\n

First-placed Melbourne<\/a> will then square off with fourth-placed Brisbane<\/a> at Adelaide Oval in a qualifying final on Saturday night, after Max Gawn's post-siren kick secured the Demons' first minor premiership since 1964<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Week one of the finals will also play host to a Sydney derby, as the sixth-placed Swans<\/a> take on the seventh-placed Giants<\/a> at Launceston's York Park on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

And the opening week of the finals will round out with a clash between the fifth-placed Western Bulldogs<\/a> and eighth-placed Essendon<\/a>, also at York Park.<\/p>\n
