A horse has been euthanised at Royal Randwick following a bad fall in the sixth race, the Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m).<\/p>\n
Jockey Brenton Avdulla was taken to the hospital after being knocked unconcious in the accident.<\/p>\n
The horse, Xtremetime, looked to be clipped on the foot on the final straight when it became crowded for room about 100m from the finish.<\/p>\n
Trainer of Xtremetime, John Thompson, sadly confirmed the filly's leg injury was so severe there was no other alternative but to have the three-year-old put down.<\/p>\n
After regaining consciousness, Avdulla was whisked to nearby Prince of Wales Hospital.<\/p>\n
