Joshua Franco has claimed a second win over Australia's Andrew Moloney, but not before a video review once again threatened to throw their bout into chaos like their previous meeting<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With the WBA super flyweight belt on the line in the pair's third meeting, Moloney slumped to a unanimous decision loss with the three judges all scoring the fight 116-112 the American's way.<\/p>\n

Franco begun the fight in control until he was knocked down halfway through the seventh round after Moloney appeared to catch him with an overhand right.<\/p>\n

While Moloney raised his hands in celebration, Franco pleaded to the referee that the Australian had not connected, saying his fall had come due to a slip.<\/p>\n

Franco's pleas were met with a video review with the referee Jack Reiss eventually telling the judges "no knockdown", while admitting "I made a mistake".<\/p>\n

Following the brief knockdown and video review stoppage, Franco once again regained control of the fight, eventually recording a comfortable win against the Aussie.<\/p>\n

The video review came just nine months after the second fight between Moloney and Franco ended in acrimonious circumstances in a controversial 'No Decision' verdict.<\/p>\n

Despite a half-hour video review, the 'No Decision' call could not be overturned after the referee ruled that Moloney had accidentally headbutted Franco, robbing the Aussie of the world title.<\/p>\n

While Andrew Moloney was not able to get the win, his twin brother Jason put himself back on the world title path after a unanimous decision victory in his own bout.<\/p>\n

Up against Joshua Greer Jr, Jason Moloney claimed the WBC Silver bantamweight title after the three judges ruled the fight 98-92, 98-92 and 96-94.<\/p>\n
