The AFL has officially confirmed its Round 22 fixtures, which will come as a delight to Essendon<\/a> fans with the club set to remain in Victoria despite having an away game.<\/p>\n

The Bombers were scheduled to face off with the Suns at Metricon Stadium, but due to the uncertainty surrounding Queensland's COVID-19 issues<\/a>, the Gold Coast-Essendon clash will take place at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n

With two rounds remaining, Essendon sit just half a game (two premiership points) outside of a spot in the top eight.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Brisbane will still take on Collingwood at The Gabba on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Strict travel arrangements will see the Magpies fly-in and fly-out via charter flight, which has been approved by the Queensland government.<\/p>\n
