Angus Crichton<\/a> – arguably the form second-rower in the NRL – is in danger of being poached by rugby union.<\/p>\n

Crichton played the 15-a-side game throughout his schoolboy career and I'm hearing the rah-rahs have an eye to signing him as a strike forward coming up to the 2023 World Cup in France.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Crichton signed an extension to his current deal at the Roosters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But curiously, he only put pen to paper for 12 months, meaning he comes off contract at the end of next season.<\/p>\n

The Roosters are desperate to keep the 25-year-old but with the NRL pulling out of this year's World Cup, the lure of playing for his country may prove too strong for Crichton.<\/p>\n

A former Australian Schoolboys rugby union representative, Crichton has played 10 Origins for NSW but has yet to become a Kangaroo.<\/p>\n

BULLDOGS SNARE TIGERS BIG BOPPER<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Bulldogs have continued their build-up for 2022 by signing one of the best young props from the Tigers system.<\/p>\n

Mavoni Tuifua is a big, ball-playing 20-year-old in the Junior Paulo mould.<\/p>\n

The youngster will go straight into the Bulldogs' full-time squad for next season and is a good chance to play plenty of first grade given the club's problems up front this year.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs recently signed Tuifua for two years and have high hopes for the burly front-rower.<\/p>\n

Q-CUP POWERHOUSE HOT PROPERTY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A young back-rower currently sitting on the sidelines because of COVID's shutdown of the Queensland Cup is one of the hottest properties on the transfer market.<\/p>\n

Josh Stucky, a tall 108kg lock or second-rower from the Northern Pride, has at least four clubs interested in his services for 2022.<\/p>\n

Stucky has been averaging close to 200 running metres per game in the Q Cup and recently scored a hat-trick of tries against Wynnum.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old has served his apprenticeship in the lower grades over the past couple of seasons and is now ready to take the step up to the big league.<\/p>\n

YOUNG TARGETS IN TIGERS OVERHAUL<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Tigers' roster needs a makeover and the club is looking at a couple of promising youngsters from rival clubs.<\/p>\n

One is Israel Ogden from the Warriors, the younger brother of Bulldogs prop Ofahiki Ogden.<\/p>\n

Israel can play fullback, wing and centre but his career has been marred by injury to date.<\/p>\n

Another Tigers target is Dragons back-rower Shalom O'ofou, who has looked good in the NSW Cup.<\/p>\n

The Dragons want to keep O'ofou but the youngster sees more chance of forcing his way into the NRL at the Tigers.<\/p>\n
